Dear Families,

A huge thank you to all of the families that participated in our Halloween parade! It was a great time celebrating as an entire school community and seeing all of the fun costumes.  We are looking forward to the next two months, with more upcoming community events and celebrations. This month, our school focus continues to be on growth mindset and emotional regulation.  Attached are ways you can reinforce these skills at home, separated by grade level.  The grade level is listed at the beginning of each attachment, starting with 5th grade and moving down to kindergarten.

Conferences start the week of 11/14-11/18.  Your teacher has already sent an option to sign-up, but please reach out if you have not received anything at this time.  We expect 100% participation and look forward to meeting with each and every one of you as we discuss your student’s progress.

A friendly reminder during morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up to only park in designated spots. There is limited parking in both the parking lot and on E. Dunne. Please make sure you are not parking in a designated drive-through lane. We appreciate everyone’s flexibility and support to follow these rules so we can ensure everyone is safe.

On December 9th, we will be holding our second annual gift drive.  Last year, our families provided over two truck loads full of presents that were donated to the Edward Boss Prado Foundation, a local organization that supports Morgan Hill.  Our goal this year is to bring in even more gifts and appreciate your support in making this happen! More details will be shared through Parent Square in the coming weeks.

A message was sent out yesterday announcing our Chess and Art Clubs which will begin on Tuesday, November 29th.  It was brought to my attention that the dates were listed incorrectly, so for clarification, both of these clubs will take place on Tuesday (not Monday like listed on previous google form).

Important Dates:

  • 11/14-11/18: Conferences

  • 11/14-11/18: Scholastic Book Fair

  • 11/19-11/27: Thanksgiving Break

  • 12/9: Pastries with Parents/2nd Annual Gift Drive

In an effort to continue to partner with our  families, we will be attaching a comment/question form each month to the newsletter.  Feel free to fill this out and share any highlights, concerns or questions you might have about Nordstrom.  Highlights will be celebrated with our staff!
